Whimsy Challenge

Hello my blogging friends!  Hope this day finds you happy and healthy. Today's post is for a challenge for the Whimsy's release party hosted by Kit and Clowder.  I used the rubber stamp Rose and colored her with my Copics.  I used the lady bug dies by Elizabeth Craft and the twigs with flourish by Tattered lace.  Hope you like her.  If you would like to know what Copics I used please let me know.  I colored this beauty a while back, but made this card fresh just about 15 minutes ago. :)  I enjoy coloring quite a bit so I usually color most of my images ahead of time that way when I need to make a card I have images ready for the occasion! Thanks for stopping by, all comments are welcomed and appreciated!
Have a great day/evening wherever you may be in the world.
Hugs,
Helen

Amelia Curiosities

Hello again, finally I am getting ahead on my contest entries.  This one is featuring Amelia Curiosities by Healther Valentin of Lacy Sunshine stamps.  The contest is for her facebook group Amelia Curiosities versus Bashful Boos.  I hope you like. I tried to capture the half skeleton/half cutie pie Amelia by using separate colors on each half.  Colored with Copics E01, E21, E04, R20, R21, R81, YR31, YR23, YR21, YG11, YG25, BG75, R29, R39, T5, YG17 and BV20.  This is by far one of the busiest pieces I have ever created so I would welcome your comments.  I normally don't go wild with embellishments, but this seemed more fun this way.

Captured by Your Love

This beauty is another original from Stamps by AuroraWings called Viridis Incendia.  I am entering her in the Facebook fan pages March Shades of Green challenge in the group.  I used lots of greens from G21 to YG63 in the Copic palette.  A touch of RV66 and RV25 for the reds and pinks.  I used a neon orange Promarker on the butter fly as well as Copic B37 with B39 shading.  The face colors are my standby E00, E21, and E51.  I can offer more specifics on the greens if you like, just ask.  I wanted to tie the whole piece together with some sparkly accents and a red card stock to offset and showcase the many greens.  I decided the verse inside will say "Captured by your Love."   Hope you like! :)

Sexy Bunnies Easter Challenge for Simply B Stamps

I stumbled upon this cute image of a mad scientist on one my facebook crafty links and had to know where it came from. I was told Simply B stamps...I've been hooked ever since.  From the awesome steampunk images by Abigail Larson to the wide variety of images, classes and solos by Betty of SimplyBstamps.net there is something for everyone.  I bought the sexy Easter bunnies  (Bunny Betty, Eggcited Corrine and Chickie Elisabete to join in the February fun challenge.  I used my copics to color these.  The first image is Bunny Betty and NO Easter colors allowed so I used a sticker paper lace that I made myself with a steampunk heart sticker on a nice red cardstock.  The second Egg-cited Corrine in pastels only.  The third Chickie Elisabete using a favorite embellishment which I used my favorite sparkly background and added a cute little steampunk heart with a sparkly belt and pink jewels.  If you would like to know what Copics color I used let me know.  If you get a chance stop on over to SimplyBstamps.net and check out her large collection of digis.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm as we are having another snowstorm today.

Lacy Sunshine-Anastasia Moppet

Since I've discovered the world of Digital Stamps I've been quite impressed with many of the talented artists willing to share their amazing drawings with the stamping community (for a small fee of course), but the images are top quality and so much fun to color.  I have had the pleasure of getting to know a few of the artists and this post is highlighting Heather Valentin and her adorable creations from Lacy Sunshine.  What a fun Facebook group to be a part of.  The ladies who belong are all very talented and Heather the artist is just an all around sweet person.  She does giveaways of some of her images to use in various contests she hosts on her Facebook page.  This is one of those images Anastasia Field of Flowers Moppet.  Please join her group, enjoy reading her blogs and you definitely will want to buy some of her images because they are absolutely darling.  The has the sweet little Boos, the Bugmees, the Emily Raindrops, Flower Pot Pretties, and the Wix to name a few.  Hope you enjoy this card I created and submitted to the latest challenge "Anastasia Moppet" that I colored with copics.
I used E00, E01, E02, E04, and E21 for her skin.  Y21, Y32 and Y26 for her hat, BG49 and BG 78 for her dress, B000 and B01 for the sky, and YG07, YG 17 for the foliage.  If there are some colors I missed please feel free to ask.  Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Almost forgot, here is a link to her site: http://lacysunshine.weebly.com/shop.html
Happy Coloring!

Mo's Digital Pencil

Hello bloggers, thought I'd pop in today and showcase one of my creations using a Mo's Digital Pencil image.  Her images are darling!  I love Bronte, Bella and the baby fairies she draws.  She has quite an arsenal of various images for all occasions.  With all of the snow we've been getting here in Central Ohio lately this little fairy seems appropriate.  I used copics, B91, B95, B97, B000, E01, E21, Y21 and Y32.  I posted her blog badge today on my blog, you can find her at www.mosdigitalpencil.com and on Facebook. Hope everyone is staying warm and cozy.

Random thoughts and a fabulous new digi by Stamps by Aurora Wings

I am pretty new to the blogging world, but have been papercrafting for years.  This seems to be the trend now if you are a crafter is that you must have a blog.  I hope that a few folks will consider visiting my blogspot and checking out my works of art.  I attended my first crop day of the year and usually I make upwards of 15 to 20 cards on these days.  This wasn't the case yesterday.  I only made 7, yes just 7 cards.  Mind you, I colored several and usually my main priority is to get the images I've already colored onto cards, but I had acquired a couple of new images and couldn't resist the temptation to bring them to life.  Two of them were variations on a theme of Anti-Valentine's Day cards for my stepdaughter and her friend who are both single.  It was fun creating them.  The third was Peacock Masquerade by Stamps by AuroraWings' Mitzi Sato-Wiuff which I'm featuring below.  I used my copics, Y28, Y23, Y26, YG67, G28, B37, E01, E21, E04, BG49, BG18, BG11,and some various gel pens for accents.  I love masks, which started way back thanks to my mother.  She loved them too and I still have some of her masks hanging on my office wall to this day.  I have added a photo of them too for your viewing pleasure.
I do thoroughly enjoy this artist's work and have been mainly coloring digis that I've purchased from her store recently. That being said, if you are interested, she just launched her own challenge blog at: http://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/  Feel free to pop over to her blog and check it out.  While you are there, she is also giving away one of her amazingly beautiful digis called "Sisterhood"!!!
At some point when I am more adept at the blog challenges, I may join in a few of them.  The competition seems fierce in these challenges, the creations these other ladies make are top notch and being my own worst critic I'm a little intimidated by this.  I truly don't do this to compete anyway, just  for the love of the craft so in the end it just makes me happy to create and share my work with my friends and family.  Enough of my middle of the night ramblings, thank you if you have taken the time to stop by my blog and thank you even more if you should decide to leave a comment.  I hope you have a wonderful week and until next time, enjoy the things that make you happy!

First creations of 2014

The tree is all down and the house looks just like it did before the holidays so back to some crafting!  I created a couple of new cards from my Stamps by Aurorawings collection, one for a ladyfriend of mine who loves to dance and one just in general because the image was begging to be colored.  I do not have a list of the colors I used on these at the moment, but please message me if you are truly interested in knowing.  Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest posts, hope everyone stays safe and warm especially those getting hit by the deep freeze (I'm in one of the lucky states that is).
Happy crafting!
