A different twist

I decided to go ahead and make this my third entry into the the Stamps by Aurorawings "Anything Goes" blog challenge.  I did a little outside of the box, well inside the box in this instance thinking.  I created this as gift for a very dear friend using the image "Owl Masquerade" printed in a 5 x 7 size.  I used Copics to color the image, I used E000, E00, E11, and E04 for her skin, E40, E41, E42, and E43 for the owl, Y23, Y26 and YR27 for her hair, BG18 and BG49 for the mask.  I used gelly roll pens for the masks to add some bling.  I taped black lace behind the image then taped the image on that, glued a small strand of pearls to frame her in then used some embellishments for the small boxes.  To finish the piece I used Alene's tacky glue and micro beads on the outside.

Happy Easter Chicks

This creation is spring and Easter inspired from 2 Cute Ink.  I used the two chicks digital image resized and added some tulip embellishments from Jolee's.  I added a couple jewels to the eggs to make the card a bit blingy.  I colored the image using Copics, please let me know if you are interested in the color palette used.  I am entering this into the "Anything Goes" challenge for 2 Cute Ink.  Hope everyone is finally getting some spring weather and some sunshine.

Autumn Harmony

Hope everyone has had an enjoyable weekend as Monday is now upon us and I will be heading off to slumber soon.
I am/ submitting this card for the Stamps by Aurorawings "Anything Goes" Challenge here at: http://www.aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com as a second entry and the March Wings challenge on the Kit and Clowder at http://kitandclowder.ning.com/challenges.  I wanted to tackle this image as fall is my favorite season, not to mention I just love this image!  Anyway, the sentiment I used is from the Anna Griffin collection.  I purchased it on amazon.com.  I used Copics to color this as well, there are so many to list, if you would like to know what colors I used just let me know I'm happy to share.   Hope everyone has a great week, thank you for stopping by!

Mayde-Lacy Sunshine contest

Today's post is featuring Mayde Dust Bunnies from Lacy Sunshine.  This is for the facebook contest.  Heather Valentin's images are so darling and fun to color.  I used E000, E00, E01, E04, E11 for her skin, Y02, Y08, and Y38 for her shirt, B91, B95 and B97 for the pants, E40, 41, 42 and 43 for the dust bunnies, R20 for cheeks and for the pink in her head scarf, BV02, BV04 and BV23 for the scarf, Y23, E07, E08 and E19 for her hair.  I believe that colors the wide spectrum of colors I used.  Hopefully I didn't miss any. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Happy Spring!

Clover Pixie Shamrock Elf with freckles

I am submitting this card for the Stamps by Aurorawings "Anything Goes" Challenge here at: http://www.aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/  This is a fun and very active facebook group to belong to as well with it's own contests and some freebies from the artist Mitzi Sato-Wuiff.  I chose the Clover Pixie Shamrock Elf with freckles for this challenge.  I simply adore all of Mitzi's art so it's difficult to choose which one to use.  So I hope you enjoy this image.  I used Copics to color her E000, E00, E04, E11, and E21 for her skin, then Y13 and Y28 for the top, the greens were YG67, YG17, YG09, YG25 and G94.

Whimsy Challenge

Hello my blogging friends!  Hope this day finds you happy and healthy. Today's post is for a challenge for the Whimsy's release party hosted by Kit and Clowder.  I used the rubber stamp Rose and colored her with my Copics.  I used the lady bug dies by Elizabeth Craft and the twigs with flourish by Tattered lace.  Hope you like her.  If you would like to know what Copics I used please let me know.  I colored this beauty a while back, but made this card fresh just about 15 minutes ago. :)  I enjoy coloring quite a bit so I usually color most of my images ahead of time that way when I need to make a card I have images ready for the occasion! Thanks for stopping by, all comments are welcomed and appreciated!
Have a great day/evening wherever you may be in the world.
Hugs,
Helen

Amelia Curiosities

Hello again, finally I am getting ahead on my contest entries.  This one is featuring Amelia Curiosities by Healther Valentin of Lacy Sunshine stamps.  The contest is for her facebook group Amelia Curiosities versus Bashful Boos.  I hope you like. I tried to capture the half skeleton/half cutie pie Amelia by using separate colors on each half.  Colored with Copics E01, E21, E04, R20, R21, R81, YR31, YR23, YR21, YG11, YG25, BG75, R29, R39, T5, YG17 and BV20.  This is by far one of the busiest pieces I have ever created so I would welcome your comments.  I normally don't go wild with embellishments, but this seemed more fun this way.

Captured by Your Love

This beauty is another original from Stamps by AuroraWings called Viridis Incendia.  I am entering her in the Facebook fan pages March Shades of Green challenge in the group.  I used lots of greens from G21 to YG63 in the Copic palette.  A touch of RV66 and RV25 for the reds and pinks.  I used a neon orange Promarker on the butter fly as well as Copic B37 with B39 shading.  The face colors are my standby E00, E21, and E51.  I can offer more specifics on the greens if you like, just ask.  I wanted to tie the whole piece together with some sparkly accents and a red card stock to offset and showcase the many greens.  I decided the verse inside will say "Captured by your Love."   Hope you like! :)

Sexy Bunnies Easter Challenge for Simply B Stamps

I stumbled upon this cute image of a mad scientist on one my facebook crafty links and had to know where it came from. I was told Simply B stamps...I've been hooked ever since.  From the awesome steampunk images by Abigail Larson to the wide variety of images, classes and solos by Betty of SimplyBstamps.net there is something for everyone.  I bought the sexy Easter bunnies  (Bunny Betty, Eggcited Corrine and Chickie Elisabete to join in the February fun challenge.  I used my copics to color these.  The first image is Bunny Betty and NO Easter colors allowed so I used a sticker paper lace that I made myself with a steampunk heart sticker on a nice red cardstock.  The second Egg-cited Corrine in pastels only.  The third Chickie Elisabete using a favorite embellishment which I used my favorite sparkly background and added a cute little steampunk heart with a sparkly belt and pink jewels.  If you would like to know what Copics color I used let me know.  If you get a chance stop on over to SimplyBstamps.net and check out her large collection of digis.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm as we are having another snowstorm today.
